Writing poetry can be a valuable tool in helping us to reflect on what interests us or makes us mad . Poetry can also support us to celebrate our achievements, shout loud and proud about the hobbies we hold dearly. It can also make us imagine about passions we have yet to experience but would love to try out.
In this relaxed workshop you will get the chance to explore your story, find your voice and express yourself clearly. Everyone has a story to tell. This workshop is open to everyone- for those who love or hate poetry, who have never written before or just want to develop their writing further.
Donald Jenkins is a performance poet, host and qualified English teacher. His poems have featured in the anthology- ‘New Word Order’, ‘The Writer’s Cafe’ magazine, ‘Riggwelter’ journal upcoming Best British and Irish Poets 2021 Anthology published by Eyewear. He won the Great Gateshead Slam 2018 and has performed at Glastonbury and the Royal Albert Hall.
