Penya are a multi-genre blend of ancestral rhythms and chants with a particular penchant for Afro-Cuban music galvanised by periods spent living in Havana. Their name derives from the Spanish word ‘Peña’ which describes a meeting place for musicians, true lovers of music & celebration! Through their polyglot musical and lyrical expression they seek to create a vision of how to live & grow from where we start, into the fullness of our humanity. Penya sings in Spanish, Yoruba, Finnish, French, and English, idioms with which they connect through upbringing, family, & other ties.

Their latest self produced and self released LP ‘Penya’ questions “how deeply our musical roots reach into the unseen places that keep us anchored to the real world.”

Santa Leticia will be spinning old and new music from dreamy lands where the sun shines brightly. She collects & selects rare hot wax dug up on trips to tropical & Mediterranean climates: Mexico, the Colombian Caribbean, North Africa, and, of course, España.

Kusht

Kusht is a Scottish born wanderer who takes inspiration from all over the world to create a fusion of psychedelic-groove down tempo music, he performs with his unique hybrid live/DJ sets which consist of sampling, guitar, looping and the occasional guest performers. His gigs have taken him all over the world from the magical fields of “Wonderfruit Festival” Thailand to the airfields of “Fusion Festival” Germany where he weaves extended sets for happy people and shaking dancers. Sharing the stage with bigger artists such as Vikan Arman, Matanza and Acid Pauli, Kusht feels right at home but also loves to play smaller more intimate venues where he can feel even more connected to the audience.
